Kathleens Grandmother was one of a number of Seaham lasses that were employed as munitions workers during the great war. Others served as nurses/VAD, comforts for the troops workers, fund raisers, poor law institute, entertainers, temperance association, Womans auxilliary corpr, Womans Legion etc.We would like to hear from anyone who knows of others who served in any way.
